Dbacks Vs Dodgers

D-backs Sweep Dodgers in NLDS

Historic Third Inning Fuels D-backs' Triumph

Dodgers Lose 6-5 in Game 2

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Arizona Diamondbacks used a historic third inning to complete a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series on Wednesday night at Chase Field.

Christian Walker and Ketel Marte both homered in the third inning, which featured seven runs for the D-backs. It was the most runs scored in a single inning by any team in an NLDS game since the 2007 Colorado Rockies.

The Dodgers managed to score five runs in the final three innings, but it was not enough to overcome the D-backs' early lead. Ryne Nelson earned the win for Arizona, while Bobby Miller took the loss for Los Angeles.

The D-backs advance to the NL Championship Series, where they will face the Atlanta Braves.
